[Jaime Hernandez, "Love & Rockets"]

So far, I've been too chicken to turn on comments out of an irrational, luddite fear of a comment spam invasion. Pretty dumb, but there it is.

The comments section is now wide open, and I'd love to hear from you, whenever you feel the urge to holla back.

Also, the site syndication feed is now turned on and blazing, for those of you who use Bloglines and such.

Thank you so much for continuing to come by.

About time! I'm not that familiar with Blogger's architecture, but as long as you can log IP address, there's always a way to ban IPs for spammers (which is what I do). But anyway, no comment really, just kicking the tires. :)

YES! Well done, G. I'll do my best to comment frequently, as I know you do with me.

Thanks for kicking the tires. The "comments" section was acting weird for a bit but I think it's fixed now.

Your human rights watch festival coverage is darn awesome!

I didn't realize when you said that you were going to a top 10 grad school that you really meant top 10 *bacchanalian* grad school.....Oh to be 22 again.

Good move Girish!

I think your blog will be more dynamic, and it will definitely ooze, and vibrate with the rhythms of the web! (Whatever the hell that means)

Just wanted to say I agree with whoever said your artwork adds a personal touch and really enhances your already cool blog. They're beyond "doodles" or you've taken the "notebook doodle" concept and raised it to a high art form. Whatever. They're terrific. And - have you done anything with ... I don't remember what it's called but - the "small, tiny, book, comic book, story, art form?" I thought the concept was interesting and I'd like to see what you produce.

Thanks, Ed, for the kind words.
I spent about a year trying to prep/draw/write an autobiographical mini-comic (sort of like a mini-graphic novel) and then my tendonitis happened. I'd like to return to it someday. These days, I tend to draw in my sketchbook every day, even if for just a little while, so it's pretty convenient for me to put those drawings on the blog.

Which reminds me: have you been drawing too? Unlike me, you've got artist DNA, what with your renowned mom...
